Mission

Our goal is to build bridges of understanding in our community, to enhance and enrich the lives of newcomers and volunteers alike. Global Gathering Place strives to enable full participation by newcomers in all aspects of Canadian society by more equally engaging newcomers and Canadians. Ultimately, we all learn and benefit from each other.

Participants:

• learn about other cultures, languages and religions

• become aware of the hopes, dreams, and needs of their neighbours

• build a strong support network in the community

• improve their ability to communicate with each other

• make the connections necessary for employment, and

• learn how to access the services of other agencies

Global Gathering Place educates the public about immigrant and refugee issues, addresses common misconceptions, and highlights the valuable contributions which newcomers to Canada make to our community.
